Oahu – Alii Kai Catamaran Dinner Cruise

Ali`i Kai Catamaran sailing into the sunset. One of the world’s largest Polynesian ocean vessels, the Alii Kai Catamaran is among Honolulu’s most popular choices for a fabulous sunset sail along Waikiki’s golden shoreline. 

The Makahiki Dinner Buffet takes place as the Catamaran sets sail, a congregation of fun and festivities. In Old Hawaii, Makahiki was a time when people spent their time feasting and dancing. The Dinner Cruise is all about great food and great fun, and features a sumptuous dinner accompanied by live musicians, Polynesian entertainers, a double-decker dance party and spectacular scenery. Friday nights are extra special with a fireworks show over Waikiki Beach.

  • Complimentary transportation to and from Waikiki (4:20 PM- 5:05PM). If providing your own transportation, check-in at Pier 5 is at 5 PM.
  • Enjoy one complimentary drink on us!
  • Upgrade to premium window seating for an additional $15.00 per person, enjoy the best seats in the house.

The Alii Kai will be in dry dock until 31 May 2015 for routine maintenance. It will resume service on 1 June 2015.

Important Information
  • Alii Kai reserves the right to modify cruise itineraries due to weather or sea conditions. Natural phenomena are random and out of our control.
  • Effective July 1, 2004, Homeland Security has mandated a new law on terrorism for the Marine Sector (MARSEC). They are as follows:
    • All passengers may be subject to a random search of their personal effects (including carry‐on).
    • All passengers must be able to provide identification upon the request of vessel personnel as proof of his/her identity
  • No outside food or beverages are allowed aboard the vessel
  • Friday night fireworks are not guaranteed and are independently operated by the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort.
  • The Alii Kai departs Aloha Tower, Pier 5 next to Aloha Tower Marketplace in downtown Honolulu daily at 5:45 PM, and returns at approximately 7:45 PM. Friday sails end at 8:15 PM to allow viewing of the fireworks display off of Waikiki
  • The Alii Kai Catamaran’s menus are diverse, we assume no responsibility for guests with food allergies or sensitivities. Please inform us at least 24 hours in advance for special meal requests. Menu items are subject to change without notice
About the Alii Kai Catamaran

Stretching 150 feet long and three passenger decks high, the distinctive Alii Kai is one of the world’s largest catamarans used for leisurely dinner cruises, and the only large capacity dinner cruise vessel built right here in Hawaii. Designed by naval architect Donald Stoddard, the 99-ton Alii Kai was built in Honolulu in 1983, and can comfortably accommodate as many as 665 passengers. The USCG Inspected Alii Kai is powered by two Caterpillar engines and three Caterpillar generators to ensure a smooth and enjoyable cruise along Waikiki’s golden shoreline. The Alii Kai is home to Honolulu’s only traditional Hawaiian Catamaran Dinner Cruise.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour will not be refunded.
  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the tour will be refunded with a 10% credit card service fee withheld (if applicable).
