OHANA SURF PROJECT
Have you always wanted to learn to surf? What better place than Hawaii. Offering a personalized learning experience, the Ohana Surf Project will have you catching waves in no time. A team of expert, multinational surfing pros are your instructors for your lessons in Waikiki. Learn basic and advanced techniques as each instruction session is customized to your age, skill level and personal goals. So, who’s ready to have some fun?!

Ohana Surf Project instructors speak 4 languages, including Japanese and Korean, have over 75 years of combined instruction experience and compete professionally in surfing, stand-up paddling, and body boarding.
LESSON OPTIONS

Open Group Lessons
- Great for beginners age 13 and older.
- One instructor for every 4 surfers.
- All participants must be able to swim and be capable of paddling themselves out to the surf break.
Private Lessons
- One surfer to one instructor
- Children ages 12 and under must take the private lesson.
- If a child needs to ride tandem with an instructor, a one-on-one private lesson is required.
Family Package
- A second option for children 12 and under to surf with at least one of their parents.
- Designed to be an affordable way to have the whole family surf together while keeping it safe and fun.
- A “family” means those living in the same household and must include one parent/caregiver and one child age 12 and under.
- All ages. (Note: If a student needs to be on the same board as an instructor, then it will need to be a private lesson.)

This Lesson is subject to cancellation if the minimum number of 2 participants is not met.

- Guests should be prepared for the lesson by wearing bathing suit, bringing a towel and sunscreen.
- OSP provides:
- guests with a long sleeve surf shirt and protective reef shoes to wear during the lesson.
- all water equipment (surfboard and stand up Paddle board and paddle (and body board if we leave that on the site)
- OSP provides:
- If participant cannot swim OSP staff must be advised ahead of time.
- If any participants have any medical conditions or injuries OSP staff must be advised ahead of time.
- 2 hour lessons start at the time of the land lesson leaving about 1 hour and 45 minutes of actual water time.
- Safety is of the utmost importance. OSP will have at least two instructors in the water even if it is a private lesson.
- OSP also has a Safety Coordinator position who will be in the water during lesson.
- Guests should be prepared for the lesson by wearing bathing suit, bringing a towel and sunscreen.
