The Island of Kauai is the fourth largest and most northern of the main Hawaiian Islands. Also known as the Garden Isle, Kauai features a range of world class activities and visitor attractions second to none. One of the major sightseeing activities on Kauai is a west side journey to the Island's 3,500 foot deep Waimea Canyon. The Canyon's beauty and size is awe-inspiring, including the waterfalls visible in the distance. Another highly recommended activity is a trip up the Wailua River. The historic waterway, which is Hawaii's only navigable river, leads to Fern Grotto, one of Kauai's signature attractions. Fern Grotto is only accessible by boat and provides sightseers an up-close view of the fern-lined cave and nearby waterfall.

Kauai also features miles of pristine white sand beaches throughout the entire island. Some of noted beaches include Hanalei Bay, Wailua Beach, Shipwreck Beach, and the end of the road at Haena State Park. After a day of snorkeling, visitors can experience a taste of Polynesian culture and cuisine by attending one of the island's popular luaus. The luau provides a glimpse into ancient Hawaii chants, drum dances of Tahiti, and a celebration of the history, culture, and people of Polynesia.
